I updated some CSS for my blog in my replies area. I have a “reply by email” thing that puts the post title in the subject for an email link. I restyled that area and also added a bit where if I add a Mastodon or Bluesky link in the post’s front matter, it puts a “reply by Mastodon” link or whatever is appropriate. Then, I even moved things in the template to put the reply section before the tags and next/previous posts buttons.

I was really annoyed that some of my css didn’t seem to have updated after I built my jekyll blog and uploaded, but then I realized it was a local caching problem.

After working on CSS for my Back to School project (work in progress: Using the Internet for Research) for a while, I decided to restyle my website update logs page. I took out my usually external stylesheet and wrote all new inline CSS right on the page.

Having the CSS inline instead of on its own external file like I usually do had the benefit of getting a more instant preview, using the Live Preview extension for VSCodium. It was fun!

I added the Mix Tape Pixel Club to my cliques and clubs.

I started an RSS/Atom feed for my website log, so people can now subscribe to my website updates.

I tested another new small web website hosting option at Pixel Shannon.

I updated my Now Page, and Me page. I even moved the Me page to a slash page instead of me.html.
I also changed the CSS a bit, most notably changing the link style.

I made a new Coffee page.

• I updated my Now Page.
• I added a link to the new directory page.
• I put a link to PixelShannon.com on the homepage.
• I created a log page.
